What is my favourite print? If you have been following me at all, you will know I love a print!
Asking this is like asking who is your favourite child!
I have just as much trouble with what is your favourite colour?
The answer...it depends.
So here is an outfit that was gathering moss in my hard drive, which combines many of my favourite things.
Asian inspired print (brocade is almost a print) on the jacket, tribal patterns and embroidery on the top/dress, paisley inspired pattern on the hat, and silk velvet...everyone say aaaahhh...and give it a stroke!
The colours are some of my favourite jewel tones, and I feel very bohemian in it.
Its my relaxed day outfit...almost pyjamas but so much better!
Although someone came to the door when I was wearing it, with profuse apologies for disturbing my rest. So maybe I'm kidding myself that it doesn't look like PJs!
What do you think?
Jacket, top, belt, bag, shoes, hat,rings- thrifted
Pants - old
The shoes have since been donated, because although I adored them, I could only stand wearing them
for minutes at a time. Basically they were my blogging shoes. Since I bought some others, I had to make room in the wardrobe. Bye bye!
Anyone else have blogging clothes?

Really lovely. Love the colors! I like polka dots. Does that count as a print?
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! I can see you in dots. Xo JJ
DeleteGorgeous, opulent and fabulous! Love those jewel tones on you and the Indian vibe.
ReplyDeleteYou'd don't half rock a hat.
I did have a pair of blogging shoes but I finally relented and gave them away. xxx
Thanks. I do love a hat. Trying to start a collection...although where I'll put them, who knows!
Deletefantastic!!!! and absolutely nothing pajama-like! maybe the visitor would just be polite. (sometimes, after days by my own i look very surprised at a occasional visitor - it must look like i just waked up from a dream...)
ReplyDeleteyour beloved jewel tones suit you sooo good, and the velvety pants are beautiful! love me a good dose of oriental opulence!
no "blogging-items" here. all what you see in pics i wear in real life. my real life ;-)
xxxxxx
Yes, everything else is real. They were the only ring ins. All my other way out stuff is really worn! Outside the house! Horrors!! ;-D
DeleteYou are sooooooooooooooo ADORABLE, my dear Jazzy
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for being part of the Share-in-Style family

It's my pleasure!
DeleteYou look like an exotic well traveled I-don't-know-who, have to come up with something here. :) I think that visitor mistaken your jacket for a robe, that's all it was. :) Beautiful colors, rich textures, very Oriental spirit, and the hat is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI don't really have blogging anything, I photograph what I wear when go out, but since I am experimenting a lot, not all of my outfits become my favorite and some of them just stay in my memories after the shoot. I have not donated anything I showed on the blog so far, but in the future I might if I decide that I had enough. :) xxxxx
I like being an exotic well travelled I-don't-know-who! I think you hit the nail on the head about the robe. But it's too gorgeous not to show off! :-)
DeleteIt doesn't look like a pajama to me at all! Beautiful colours and the prints are amazing. I especially like the blue jacket. I too have weakness for interesting prints, asian and tribal are among my favourites.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Great taste:-)
DeleteThe rich colours and wonderful textures and prints make this a stunning outfit! PJs? Not at all!
ReplyDeleteNo, I don't have blogging clothes - what I wear for a blog post is what I've been wearing that day. I usually put a bit of extra lippy on though! xxx
I know, I've discovered it makes a huge difference in a photo! Especially with my pale skin :-)
DeleteLove these rich colors on you. And yes, I do have blogging shoes in particular. I keep them around because I think one day I may be able to tolerate them. I can't wear arch supports in them but right now I just cannot go without them.
ReplyDeleteI hear you! I'm the same. We aspire to shoes our feet won't tolerate! Some people are lucky with their feet. Not me! :-( so I chase down cool flats!
DeleteWow, that is amazing! Such a bright blue! Like the Shirt with print and the throusers and the jacket. I have a similiar, one side dark blue velvet, other side silk in similiar blue, it's from China...
ReplyDeleteYour bohemian look is very inspiring!
I haven't blogging shoes, but I have many "bicycle shoes", whis which I can ride, but not go for a long time. Most shoes, what I see (in the shops) are only bicycle shoes and I will not buy...
(I'm back home, I was in a hospital, it wasn't good, sigh... I will start blogging in next days)
So sorry you've been ill and in hospital! I hope your special man is looking after you.
DeleteYes, I just picked up a silk shirt the same blue colour and realise this jacket is probably silk too! I know you love blue glass. This has the same feeling for me. Hugs to you and I hope you are feeling well soon. Xo JJ
I love the rich textures in this outfit. That velvet jacket looks ultra luxurious. We just watched the first episode of American Horror Stories for this season and Jessica Lange is wearing so many fantastic dressing gowns...a couple in velvet. I just love them.
ReplyDeleteSadly I have quite the collection of blogger shoes. I have very thin ankles and I "walk out" of 95% of my shoes.Unless they have a Mary Jane strap to keep them on, which of course visually cuts my leg and makes me look even shorter than I am. Plus almost all of my blogger shoes are pointed and squish my toes and if the heel is too high they make the balls of my feet hurt which in turn gives me a headache. I keep them around because I love them and I keep thinking by some miracle my feet will change and I will be able to wear them for more than 5 minutes at a time.
I'm ever the optimist when I'm shopping because in the store the shoes feel perfectly fine and I convince myself that yeah, I'll be able to wear them. When I get them home and try to wear them out that is when I realize I've just added to my blog shoe aka bedroom shoe collection. I'm trying my best not to add to this collection at all anymore though.
Boots and I get along just fine since I can't walk out of them and often buy a size up so my feet don't hurt.
bisous
Suzanne
Oh, I know, I know, I know!
DeleteBoots a size up are what I live in too. And I have wide front and narrow back on my feet, so I understand the "walking out".
Mary Janes are my friend! Xo JJ
OH I love this outfit!! Paisley is my favourite pattern hands down, but choosing a favourite colour is definitely not as easy, probably not possible. I do love jewel tones though and sometimes that is what I answer in response to the question. "What is your favourite colour?" "Jewel tones."
ReplyDeleteWere you wearing the hat when you answered the door? I don't think the hat would look like pyjamas but if I were the one at the door I would think ohh I envy her lovely fancy jewel toned pyjamas that are perfect for lounging all day in like a bohemian.
xoxoxo
No, I don't usually wear hats indoors;-) another blogging item! Although I do wear it out. Yes, I know the favourite colour dilemma. Seems others are much more decisive...or non receptive! xo JJ
DeleteYou look like the ocean. And you might like this pinterest board I made for my pal who loves ocean colours:
