Blogging poem

she lies in bed
waiting for sleep
her ipad
charging in it's socket
behind her

the next morning
she wakes to find
100 percent charge
and two comments
from bloggers overseas
who have read
her words overnight
and sent some flying back
in response

she sits
at the breakfast table
feeling them
charging her up
100 percent
filled

'Til next time,
keep on creating
and showing your unique selves to the world!

  2. Hahaha, hope I'm one of those bloggers that charge you up! We're in a different time zones, so I guess you see my comments the next day? I have no idea what I'm talking about :D
Either way I love the poem! :D

  3. Yes, that's just how blogging works, isn't it? The contact and support keeps you going! Great poem.
PS. Sorry for the lack of comments, Disqus was being difficult and not letting me leave any. It seems fine now. xxx

  5. Is it modern because it doesn't rhyme, or because it speaks of modern things? Jazzy Jack

I love your blogging poem! I don't have an ipad but I do have a macbook and it is always with me. When I wake in the morning, while still lying in bed I log in to see what messages I have and if I have posted a blog I look to see if there are any comments. It is always a special thrill to know that there has been such communication across such distances. xoxoxo

  11. Thanks Shawna! It's cool to think of us all in our various time zones doing something similar. I think blogging is quite like letter writing across the distances. However it is virtually instant! I think blogging is keeping writing alive. xo Jazzy Jack

  13. It's modern because it addresses our use of technology, which I've never seen in a poem before.

Yes, I think you are right. And it sort of harks back to those days when people had mail delivery more than once a day. Now, I check my mail box about once a week and it us usually only bank statements. xoxo Love that new profile picture!
