The symbolism speaks for itself, doesn't it? What I'm learning is this. There is always the third option. When you go for what calls you, and create a road that is as comfortable as you can imagine. It's all in imagination. It can bring you anywhere any way you choose. With love xxx
Oh, yes. For me there seems to be an Only road. And it often has bumps and huge potholes and lovely patches of smooth surface in between. I'm working to repave what's ahead.
Not sure for the metaphor, life is bumpy enough already, but for the literal road I think the stairs one has bugs in it, so gonna take the smooth one :D
i want to say the bumpy road... but i feel like i'm kinda a scaredy cat. so i guess i'll say trying to be brave and take the bumpy road... until i get too tired and rest on the nice one.
When I was younger it would have been the bumpy road. Now that I'm older it would probably be the smooth road. How terrible really. Comfort over discovery and excitement. Is that was ageing does to us?
If we're in the car then it's the smooth one, can't damage a classic car. If its in life then the most interesting option, for sure. x

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure a smooth road exists for anyone, actually. Bumps are inevitable! xxx

ReplyDeleteHee! Of course! Must protect the car.
ReplyDeleteOften the road that looks bumpy to others, if chosen in love, can be redeemed by passion.

Yes, I agree. But I think some aim for the smooth and boring out of fear. They miss out I feel.

The road travelled for me has had some major bumps specially over the last few years, the skill sometimes is not disappearing down the pot holes.
