BeautyScope 213: The high road or the low road

will you take the neat smooth road in life
or the bumpy challenging one
with its chance of discoveries?

  1. If we're in the car then it's the smooth one, can't damage a classic car. If its in life then the most interesting option, for sure. x

  2. The symbolism speaks for itself, doesn't it? What I'm learning is this. There is always the third option. When you go for what calls you, and create a road that is as comfortable as you can imagine. It's all in imagination. It can bring you anywhere any way you choose. With love xxx

  3. I'm not sure a smooth road exists for anyone, actually. Bumps are inevitable! xxx

  4. Oh, yes. For me there seems to be an Only road. And it often has bumps and huge potholes and lovely patches of smooth surface in between. I'm working to repave what's ahead.

  6. Often the road that looks bumpy to others, if chosen in love, can be redeemed by passion.

  7. Yes, I agree. But I think some aim for the smooth and boring out of fear. They miss out I feel.

  10. The road travelled for me has had some major bumps specially over the last few years, the skill sometimes is not disappearing down the pot holes.

  11. Not sure for the metaphor, life is bumpy enough already, but for the literal road I think the stairs one has bugs in it, so gonna take the smooth one :D

  12. Definitely bugs, and maybe even crocodiles! Good choice :-D

  13. Yes, it is a skill some of us are having to learn too often! All the best for your road tarmac negotiation.

  15. i want to say the bumpy road... but i feel like i'm kinda a scaredy cat. so i guess i'll say trying to be brave and take the bumpy road... until i get too tired and rest on the nice one.

  16. When I was younger it would have been the bumpy road. Now that I'm older it would probably be the smooth road. How terrible really. Comfort over discovery and excitement. Is that was ageing does to us?
