There once was a man who loved.
He sent a dragon scarf to tell of his love.
His love wore his scarf every day
and thought of him so far away.
She had many ways to wear it.
Even through the cold winter months
her scarf kept her warm
while she waited for him to come to her.
At last she felt his arms surrounding her and was at peace.
Cheesy I know! But this really was given to me by Bushy after he had been away on one of his frequent overseas trips. Indonesia, or Malaysia I think.
I like the pattern so much, and you can't see it well when tied up. So I invented this style so I could enjoy the design!
Linen pants, and shirt - retail
Jumper - gift from beautiful sister
Scarf - from my lover man
Pearl earrings - generous Mother-in-law
Green wool jacket - op shop
Dry felted flowers on jacket - by me
Green mohair and alpaca beanie - crocheted by me
New haircut - also by me!
'Til next time, keep creating!
Jazzy Jack
Aww, what a lovely story. You've got a permanent embrace from Bushy in the form of a scarf in his absence. Love it worn as a skirt, it really shows off the elegant print. x
ReplyDeleteYay! You got the idea! This is my lazy version of your lovely printed maxi skirt.
DeleteWe agree.... loved all the arrangements of the scarf too as well as your felted jacket and beanie. You are brave taking photos outside in the cold! Oh and the pearl earings are always gorgeous. D&M xxxx
ReplyDeleteCheesy-no, romantic aaaaw- yes! :D I love this scarf, can't believe you invented so many ways of wearing it. I'm awful when it comes to tying scarves!
ReplyDeleteYou could tie it around your tiny waist like your tartan shirts! :-)
DeleteAaah, this is gushy but sweet! I love the scarf! Especially as a skirt and tied like a bandana. I'm fortunate I suppose that my better half doesn't travel for his job, but he does spend way too much time in his cubicle.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure gushy isn't worse! :-D I had to look up bandana, I didn't know if you meant the head or the neck. Bushy doesn't travel so much now, fortunately. Hopefully you will have a few days with your better half soon!
Deletecute story :-)
ReplyDeletethe scarf is extremely beautiful and the colors are totally yours, well selected from bushy!
tied around your head looks pretty chic. love the colors going on here - forest/moss green, dark purple... and dang - the white shirt! fab!
how comes a loden jacket to australia?? complete with embroidery!
xxxx
Interesting! I looked up Loden. I bought a hat in Austria which my Mum is enjoying which is this fabric. Not sure about the jacket, although it's very dense. Not as thick as the hat. I bought the jacket for $10 at a secondhand shop last Summer. I wasn't sure if I would wear it much because it is very scratchy wool (I have sensitivity to wool), but I'm finding it very useful. I needle felted the embroidery because I just like playing :-)
DeleteI like cheese! and I love the scarf! what a beautiful gift from Bushy and I love every which way you have worn it, especially though as a skirt, it is truly dazzling! x x x
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like cheese too!
DeleteI love cheese, in my food and in my love stories! What a beautiful scarf and it looks so lovely on you in all the ways you wear it. The colours are gorgeous and among my favourites. I also really love the purple shirt, the green jacket and your hat! You have really gorgeous bone structure and make a very striking model.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Thankyou! I had to go back and look..."what bone structure?" If i do have anything special I get it from my Mum. She is gorgeous! Mind you my Dad's not so bad either :-D
DeleteOh, I meant to say, the hat was a failed beret that I somehow rescued at the last minute. I couldn't make it again:-) Sometimes failure leads to something better!
DeleteAhh, that's a sweet love story, and it's a beautiful scarf, worn all ways! xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's a gorgeous scarf … I'd turn it into a wall hanging so I could see it every day :0)
ReplyDeletexx
Ah, not cheesy at all - a really lovely story. And a gorgeous scarf too. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
ReplyDeleteOh, this scarf is so beautiful! I literally fall in love with it. And the story is so romantic, reminds me of those medieval ballads.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous of you and the Style Crone's ability to wear a scarf as a skirt! That trick doesn't work for us girls who eat lunch LOL. It does work very beautifully for you ;-)

Yes, I did think if the Style Crone during this. It was more draped over a belt than a skirt. Maybe we could sew two together for a skirt! And you have your lovely new bespoke dress I'm jealous of! XO JJ
DeleteBeautiful story, beautiful scarf, and you shine shine shine in it!
ReplyDeleteI can't join you, boo hoo!, because I'm not on Google Plus. If you ever join Blog Lovin', I'll sign right up!
This is great. Not cheesy at all. Very creative. I love scarves. Better yet...obsessed with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Glenda! Lovely to see you on this side of the world. I do have about 5 coat hangers with colour coded scarves, and then a drawer full of sarong/wraps...so I think I could say I'm obsessed too! XO JJ
DeleteThat is the most beautiful scarf I have ever seen, Jazzy. And I love it worn as a skirt so you can fully see the design. The juxtaposition of your casual sweater and shirt with the exotic dragon scarf is just fabulous, I think. And the story that goes with it is just as great. Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteMy pleasure Pao!
Delete(Ahem, Polite cough.)
ReplyDeleteCheesy? I think not. Neither because it's an outfit post, nor because you've told a sweet and sentimental story with it. But, it's your post and who am I to say? Lovely thing, this scarf, and pretty on you as you're wearing it. Don't know if you wear it draped as half a skirt when you are out and about, but if you don't you should! Wonderful. I love Asian design of any origin, so this was such a pleasure to see on you, and extra lovely for the personal connection.
Made my day better just to see it!
Oh, thankyou! I do love to improve people's day!
